Ask any seasoned casino player in Malaysia about their favourite game and baccarat will almost always come up. It's no surprise – baccarat is easy to learn, fast to play, and carries one of the lowest house edges of any casino game. That's why aw8pro places baccarat front and centre on our platform, with the most comprehensive table selection of any operator in Malaysia.
Aw8pro understands that Malaysian players want more than just an ordinary baccarat table. They want an experience that feels like being in a real premium casino — with professional dealers, crisp video streaming, seamless interaction and fair outcomes. That is exactly what aw8pro delivers through its internationally standard live casino studio, operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, without interruption.
If you're new to baccarat, here are the basics you need to know. Baccarat is a card game played between two hands — Banker and Player. Each hand receives two or three cards. The hand with a total closest to 9 wins. Numbered cards (2 through 9) are worth their face value. Cards 10, J, Q, and K are worth zero. Aces are worth 1. If the total exceeds 9, the first digit is dropped — for example, 7 + 8 = 15, so the hand value is 5. Simple, right?
In baccarat, you have three main betting options – Banker, Player, or Tie. Statistically, the Banker bet is the smartest choice for players who value consistency. The house edge on Banker is just 1.06%, making it one of the best-value bets in the entire casino world. A 5% commission is typically deducted from Banker bet winnings, but this still compares very favourably against the house edge on other bets.
The Player bet carries a house edge of around 1.24% — still very low and a solid choice. Unlike the Banker bet, no commission is deducted from winnings, which some players prefer for cleaner, easier-to-calculate payouts. The Tie bet, while it may look attractive with its 8:1 odds, comes with a much higher house edge of around 14.4% — most baccarat experts do not recommend it as a primary option for players using a long-term strategy.
Beyond the three main bets, baccarat tables at aw8pro also offer side bets such as Banker Pair, Player Pair, Perfect Pair, and Dragon Bonus. These bets offer higher odds and can be an interesting way to add variety to your session. However, like most casino side bets, the house edge is higher – use them cautiously and keep the amounts limited.
One feature that experienced baccarat players at aw8pro truly appreciate is the road map display, which shows the results of previous hands. There are several road types — Big Road, Big Eye Boy, Small Road and Cockroach Road — each visualising result patterns in a different way. Many players use these roads to try to identify trends and inform their next betting decision. While statistically each hand is independent, using the roads is an integral part of the authentic baccarat experience.
Aw8pro also offers a Squeeze feature at select tables. In Squeeze mode, the dealer slowly reveals the cards in a dramatic fashion, building suspense and excitement — it is one of the most iconic rituals in baccarat, typically reserved for VIP tables at premium physical casinos. With aw8pro, this exclusive experience is now available to all Malaysian players from the comfort of their own home.
Depositing to play baccarat at aw8pro is easy and secure, with a wide range of local Malaysian payment methods available. You can use Touch 'n Go eWallet, GrabPay, Boost, ShopeePay, DuitNow QR, or FPX internet banking such as Maybank2u and CIMB Clicks. The minimum deposit is RM20, and credits typically appear in your account within minutes. Withdrawals are processed promptly based on your VIP membership tier at aw8pro.
"Baccarat isn't purely a guessing game. Players who win consistently are those who understand bet value, manage their bankroll with discipline, and never let emotions drive their decisions at the table."
Many players who try live baccarat at aw8pro for the first time are surprised by how different the experience feels compared to playing on a standard platform or at an auto table. The aw8pro live casino studio is built with professional lighting, high-quality cameras and tables that faithfully replicate the atmosphere of a premium casino. Trained dealers ensure every round runs smoothly, announce results clearly and occasionally engage with players through the chat function.
The real advantage of live baccarat at aw8pro over a physical casino is accessibility — no dress code, no queuing at the counter and no travel costs. Simply get comfortable at home, open the aw8pro app on your phone or laptop, and a premium baccarat table is ready for you whenever you want. Each variant offers its own distinct experience — choose the one that best suits your playing style
The standard variant featuring a professional dealer, HD tables and all major bets available. Suitable for both new and experienced players. Flexible betting limits from RM5 to RM5,000 per hand.
Each round wraps up in just 25 seconds, compared to 48 seconds in standard baccarat. Perfect for players who love fast-paced action and don't want to wait long between hands. More hands per hour means more opportunities.
The dealer reveals each card dramatically using the squeeze technique — slowly bending and peeling back the card to build suspense. It's an exclusive experience typically reserved for VIP tables at physical casinos.
A variant featuring Dragon Bonus side bets that pay out at higher odds when a hand wins naturally or by a large point margin. A Natural 9 against a non-natural hand pays up to 30:1.
Exclusive tables with higher betting limits, a dedicated dealer and a more personalised experience. A quieter, more focused setting for players who play at a larger scale.
A variant where no 5% commission is deducted from Banker wins. Instead, a Banker win on a final card of 6 pays out at 1:2. Well suited to players who prefer full, uncut winnings.

A practical guide to playing baccarat with greater strategy and discipline
The 1.06% house edge on the Banker bet makes it statistically the best long-term choice. Even with the 5% commission deducted from winnings, it remains more favourable than the Player or Tie bet over the long run.
Before sitting down at a table, set two key figures: a win limit (e.g., stop when you're up RM500) and a loss limit (e.g., stop when you're down RM200). This discipline is what separates smart players from impulsive ones.
Baccarat road maps are useful as a visual guide, but keep this in mind — each hand is an independent event. A Banker winning 10 times in a row doesn't mean Player is due for a win next. Use the road map for context, not as a precise prediction.
Pair, Tie and other side bets carry a significantly higher house edge. If you want to try them for the occasional thrill, keep the amount small — only what you are comfortable losing. Do not let side bets make up a large part of your core strategy.
Aw8pro offers tables with a range of betting limits. Choose a table where the minimum bet does not exceed 2–3% of your account balance. This ensures you can stay in the game long enough to enjoy a meaningful session without putting yourself under too much pressure.
The 0.8% rebate offered by aw8pro on all baccarat bets means that even when you lose, a small portion is returned to your account every day. Over the long term, this rebate can add up to significant value across your total play.
